LFTLC goes nationwide
Tuesday we had a happy (for us) emergency over at LIVE FROM THE LEFT COAST with Angie Coiro. Mike Malloy, liberal talk-radio host syndicated in 20 markets, lost all power to his operation in Florida. Hurricane Ida. So arrangements were quickly for Angie to cover, which meant running a third hour of our regular two-hour broadcast. Producer Susan O’Leary and Angie worked like lightning to get it all together, and a national broadcast of LFTLC went on without a hitch.
The live-blog set a new record for attendance and posts, with 84 guests and 959 posts. And good posts they were! Check out the whole conversation here http://tr.im/EIHu. Thank you Mike, and thank you team (Angie, Susan, Jenny, Randy, Landra and Ellen) for coming through.

Both Dirk Hamilton and David Gans completed successful tours last week; Dirk in Northern California and David in the Southeast. Highlight of Dirk’s swing was a standout date at The Palms Playhouse in Winters, CA, where he was joined by longtime bandmates Don Evans (guitar), Eric Westphal (bass) and Tim Seifert (drums) for a mixed acoustic/electric set. David hit all kinds of highs at Magnolia Fest and various house and club dates in Florida, Georgia and Alabama, including a well-received set at MagFest with Lorin and Chris Rowan in their long-running Beatles jamband Rubber Souldiers.
